"Lost" is set deep in the woods during the winter.  A group of four have strayed from a hiking trail and have gotten lost.  One member of the group is injured and they slowly realize they may never make it out of the woods.  As it becomes obvious they may not be found, they deal with serious questions of faith.  Questions are asked including:

  • Why does God allow bad things to happen to good people?

  • Is your faith your own or was it 'inherited'?

  • How does God answer our prayers?

"Lost" has a very evangelical message but leaves the outcome up to the audience.  It is apologetic in nature and attempts to answer some of the hard questions skeptics ask about Christianity.

The set may be as simple or elaborate as necessary. It can even be presented as reader's theater. If it is to be staged with more elaborate sets, a forest scene may be built using Christmas trees, sheets for snow and a fake (or real) bolder or two.

A small, glowing campfire will be needed for scene three as this scene is presented at night in the dark.

The entire play is presented in six scenes.

CAST OF CHARACTERS: Seth - goof off, not sure about his faith; Rachel - not a believer, rebellious but searching; Tyler - strong believer and acts as the leader; Ashley - strong in her faith despite her circumstances.
